From magic twisters to cartoon ghosts, “Dins la Fosca” (Into Darkness), was a challenge on delivering high quality effects to a low budged production.
I had to use almost every technique I knew, from particle systems to fluid simulations, 3D animated birds and even some matte painting, although most part of the job was creating all the environmental effects such as fog and volumetric lights.
Magic effects were perhaps the most challenging ones as we had to deliver a cool organic concept which looked original while looking familiar. This also was my first experience on VFX supervising. Being a bridge between the director and the VFX team was a great experience.
